7 Taliban Fighters Killed in 3 Separate Clashes
Security forces killed seven militants in three separate incidents, Afghan officials said.
U.S.-led coalition and Afghan forces clashed with Taliban militants in the Andar district of Ghazni province, and four militants were killed, police said.
In southern Helmand province, police killed two Taliban fighters after coming under attack, said provincial police chief Ghulam Nabi Malakhail.
In eastern Paktika province, a militant was killed when about 50 Taliban fighters traded heavy machine-gun fire with Afghan police, a governor’s spokesman said.
