Getting to Bottom of the Sanchez Story

Bill Dwyre, the only thing your Aug. 12 column on Mark Sanchez accomplished was to prove that you, the mature and cynical columnist for the large metropolitan daily, can trip up a young kid under loads of pressure.

Congratulations! Great journalism! You’re the man!

The bottom line is this: The DA dropped the case, why don’t you? Don’t you and The Times have something more substantive to write about other than how you can so easily make a kid squirm?

Great column. Maybe Sanchez wasn’t being evasive, but, in the best tradition of the Surgeons, he didn’t understand the question. This seems plausible since he didn’t recognize his ID. Fib, I mean, fight on.
