Slaying of Tribal Chief Sparks Unrest

Protesters in southwestern Pakistan burned shops and buses because of the weekend killing of a tribal chief.
Five people were hurt in Pasni, where police fired tear gas and shot into the air to disperse a mob. Police also used tear gas in Karachi, and a bank and two shops were burned in Gawadar.
Nawab Akbar Bugti, who led a decades-long campaign for greater rights for ethnic Baluch tribal members, was killed Saturday in a military raid.
