Ivy League Is Bush League to This College
Posters and a website mocking President Bush have put the spotlight on a small Canadian university that thought an edgy recruiting campaign would attract potential students.
The website of Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, www.yaleshmale.com, has a picture of Bush with the caption “Graduating from an Ivy League university doesn’t necessarily mean you’re smart.” Bush graduated from Yale in 1968.
Frederick Gilbert, the university’s president, said online comments were about 95% positive. But e-mails to him are “in the opposite direction.”
