Give France credit for stance on Iraq

Share

Re “Folly and faux pas,” editorial, Nov. 29

You still can’t stand the fact that France was right about Iraq, can you? Before the U.S.-led invasion in 2003, President Jacques Chirac called for more time to let weapons inspectors finish their job. Think of where we, and the world, would be today if only we had listened to reason. Please stop lying in wait for Chirac to make some minor mistake so you can blow it out of proportion in yet another anti-France editorial.

Meanwhile, President Bush is a corrupt, dishonest egomaniac who is responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent people in an illegal war. He fooled almost everybody with trumped-up “evidence” for his war, but he didn’t fool the French.
