Sirius Satellite Radio Inc., operator of the second-largest pay-radio service, lowered a forecast of its year-end subscriber count to 5.9 million to 6.1 million.

Sales since the Thanksgiving weekend “have not been at the pace we had anticipated,” New York-based Sirius said.

The company said Nov. 8 that it would have 6.3 million subscribers by the end of the year.
