A Mexican cook kidnapped last month along with four others from a hunting ranch near the border with Texas has been released, officials said.
Marco Ortiz reportedly was in good condition after being freed Monday night in Nuevo Laredo, said Santos Vasquez, a prosecutor in the state of Coahuila, where the kidnapping occurred.
Vasquez said he did not know whether a ransom was paid. Ortiz was the last to be freed among the five people abducted Nov. 26.
