Convicted Somali Felon Agrees to Deportation

A Somali community leader who successfully battled allegations that he was a conduit for terrorist funds but was convicted of immigration crimes, has given up his fight against deportation.
Omar Abdi Mohamed has spent two years in custody and does not want to remain in jail while his appeals are pending, said his attorney Mahir Sherif.
