Nissan Motor Co.’s U.S. product development head said he would retire this year instead of following the company when it moves its U.S. headquarters to Tennessee from Gardena.

Since 1999, Jack Collins has overseen development of Tokyo-based Nissan’s best-selling U.S. models, including the Altima and Maxima sedans and the Xterra sport utility vehicle. He said he would remain vice president of product planning for Nissan North America until July.
