Bhutto Plans to Return Before Next Elections

Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto said she planned to return to Pakistan from her self-imposed exile before the next elections in 2007 even if it meant risking arrest.
Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf, an ally of the U.S. in the war on terrorism, took power in a bloodless coup in 1999, and Bhutto said she didn’t want the only election choices to be Musharraf’s military-led government and Islamic militants.
