200 Coyotes Killed in 3-Week Federal Hunt
From Times Wire Reports
Federal authorities have killed 200 coyotes in the southeast part of the state in the last three weeks after ranchers complained they were eating calves.
The coyote hunt, which ended Friday, was conducted from aircraft as part of a program run by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The hunting took place near Elgin on private and public land used by 10 to 15 ranchers, the Arizona Daily Star reported.
