Pyongyang Threatens Nuclear Retaliation

North Korea vowed to respond with a nuclear strike if attacked by the United States.
The Bush administration reacted sternly, saying it had no intention of attacking but was determined to protect the U.S. if North Korea followed through on the test launch of a long-range missile.
The official Korean Central News Agency said Pyongyang would “answer a preemptive attack with a relentless annihilating strike and a nuclear war with a mighty nuclear deterrent.”
