Airliner Diverted After Damage by Passenger
From Times Wire Reports
A China Airlines flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to Taipei carrying 218 passengers and crew was diverted to the southern Taiwanese city of Kaohsiung after a male passenger broke an inner window, the airline said.
Spokesman Bruce Chen said the man broke the window with his arm after he drank too much. Another spokesman, Johnson Sun, said there was never any danger to the passengers or aircraft, an Airbus 330.
“The average window is double-layered, so safety will not be threatened,” he said.
