Update -- Detroit is the league’s second-best rebounding team (37.1 a game) in part because it has the league’s top rebounder in Cheryl Ford (11.7). But it also has one of the league’s biggest frontcourts in the 6-foot-3 Ford, 6-5 Ruth Riley and 6-1 Swin Cash, with 6-6 Kara Braxton coming off the bench. Still, Detroit was outrebounded by the smaller Charlotte Sting Wednesday, 31-29, and lost, 73-67 -- ending a three-game winning streak. The Sparks (the third-best rebounding team at 36.2) have a league-high six-game winning streak after beating New York, 70-62, at home Tuesday. The Sparks got an unexpected boost from forward Jessica Moore, who had a career-high 11 points. “A couple of games ago Michael Abraham called me out,” Moore said, referring to the Sparks’ assistant coach, who then told her to become more offense-minded. Moore, who was averaging three shots a game, took eight shots against New York and made four.
