Girl to Serve at Least 32 Years for Fatal Shootings
From Times staff and wire reports
A 14-year-old Lemoore girl was sentenced Monday to 25 years to life in prison for killing her mother and her mother’s boyfriend.
Brittney Norris pleaded guilty in June to the shooting deaths. She will serve at least 32 years in prison before she’ll be eligible for parole, according to her lawyer, Gerald Schwab.
At the sentencing, Norris gave a short statement in a soft, halting voice. She apologized to relatives and promised the judge that she would pursue her education behind bars.
