Two Countries Plan to Quit Cease-Fire Mission

Finland and Denmark have decided to withdraw their nationals from a European monitoring mission overseeing a shaky cease-fire between the Sri Lankan military and Tamil Tiger rebels because of inadequate security, a spokesman said.
A Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission spokesman said the two countries notified the group that their monitors would withdraw Sept. 1.
