Role models needed

Re “Honey, you’re not a victim,” Opinion, July 25

I agree that there has been a victim mentality and that women absolutely need to take responsibility for their actions. That said, we need some strong role models to replace what we generally see in the media. I am tired of seeing female stars looking malnourished or wearing next to nothing. We also see women being the victims of rape or victims of other circumstances. There aren’t enough strong women who can push these images aside. The strength of women has been buried.
