I Know Hockey’s on Somewhere ...

As a longtime hockey fan, I am amazed that the NHL came off its strike season by hiding from the fans. While ESPN is televising paintball, poker and spelling bees, the NHL decided to hide on a third-rate pay-per-view network. While ESPN is included in most basic cable and satellite systems, OLN is a third-level purchase on DISH and tied to the Hallmark network.

If it’s easier to watch movie stars play seven-card stud than the Stanley Cup playoffs, Lord Stanley has no future.
