L.A. Firm to Design, Engineer Spaceport

Los Angeles-based AECOM has been selected to design and engineer a proposed $200-million spaceport in southern New Mexico planned by Gov. Bill Richardson’s administration.

The company and subsidiary DMJM Aviation will provide architectural and engineering services for the Southwest Regional Spaceport. They are teaming with Albuquerque architectural and engineering firms Dekker Perich Sabatini and Molzen-Corbin & Associates.

AECOM is the parent of a group of companies, including DMJM, that operate worldwide and provide services including design and planning as well as engineering and construction management for infrastructure projects, including airports, roads and buildings.
