The New York Stock Exchange, which has sued 23 specialists for illegal floor trading, is investigating improper activities by other market makers from 1999 to 2003.
“We are continuing our investigations,” NYSE Regulation’s Chief Executive Richard Ketchum told reporters Tuesday at a news conference in New York. “We are still looking at abuses during that time frame.”
Ketchum declined to say how many cases the NYSE was pursuing or when the investigations would be completed.
