Shepard shakes things up on an American farm

“The God of Hell,” Sam Shepard’s darkly humorous ride through the contemporary American political landscape, shakes up the complacent lives of a Wisconsin farming couple who are faced with unwelcome guests: two political plotters involved with military secrets, torture and mysterious blue sparks. Directed by Jason Alexander, the production concludes the Geffen’s 10th anniversary season.
