United Auto Workers doesn’t expect talks with Delphi Corp. to produce an agreement by the end of March, when the auto-parts maker has threatened to ask a judge to void labor contracts, a union official said.

“They have made some progress, but clearly some significant issues remain and until it’s done, it’s not done,” Clyde Sims, president of UAW Local 913 at a Delphi plant in Sandusky, Ohio, said after a UAW meeting in Detroit.

Shares of GM rose 36 cents to $21.50.
