Honduras Makes Legal Changes for U.S. Deal

Honduras has become the second Central American nation to make legal and regulatory changes needed to implement a hard-fought free trade agreement with the United States.
The Honduran Congress passed a legislative packet that included a new intellectual property law and changes to animal health rules and government tender processes.
“The necessary reforms have been approved and we hope to enjoy the benefits that this agreement brings to Honduras from April 1,” Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Jorge Rosa said.
