Protesters in Bangkok Seek Premier’s Ouster

Thousands of protesters seeking the resignation of Thailand’s prime minister marched through the capital’s business district as neither side in the leadership struggle showed any sign of backing down.
A year ago, Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was reelected to a second term by a landslide. But his popularity has faded. Bangkok’s middle class has been holding large demonstrations for more than a month, accusing him of corruption and abuse of power.
