Civilians slain in Darfur, U.N. says

Militiamen allied with Sudan’s government killed about 50 civilians in Darfur, and witnesses reported seeing men in military officers’ garb with the attackers, the United Nations said.
Citing witnesses, the U.N. said mostly boys and elderly men died in the attack Sunday by 300 to 500 militiamen who swarmed villages and a relief camp.
