Murder charges in $20 sports bet
From Times Wire Reports
A man has been charged with murder after his friend was shot in the chest with a high-powered rifle in a dispute over a $20 bet on the annual South Carolina-Clemson college football game, authorities said.
The pair drank beer all afternoon and watched the game Saturday at the victim’s home, police said, and were arguing about the bet after the game until the shooter got his rifle from his car.
