Militants Sink 2 Boats, Kill at Least 5 Soldiers
From Times Wire Reports
Dozens of militants sank two military patrol boats in Nigeria’s oil-rich southern delta in an attack that killed five soldiers and left nine others missing, an army spokesman said.
Maj. Sagir Musa said 15 soldiers were on a routine patrol in a delta outlet when 70 militants attacked. One of the soldiers escaped, he said.
Militants in the area argue that residents should receive more of the oil wealth.
