A new club, a new line
Peter Famulari gave friends a sneak peek of his new spot Boulevard3 on Tuesday night. When your pals include Justin Timberlake, it’s easy to see why. The new place at the former Hollywood Athletic Club (adjacent to Social Hollywood) was the site of a big hoo-ha as Timberlake unveiled an early glimpse of his William Rast clothing line that he began with his friend Trace Ayala. Famulari, the former owner of SkyBar, had plenty of celebs, including Timberlake’s girlfriend Cameron Diaz, plus Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Paris Hilton and Scott Weiland. Boulevard3 opens to the public next Thursday.
He can’t do a little
Sid Krofft of “H.R. Pufnstuf” fame is the co-owner of Eleven, a restaurant and nightclub in a historic bank building in WeHo. We can look forward to it when it opens in November. Now where’s our talking flute? ...
Boo yah! It’s time for Jason Lavitt and Joseph Brooks’ 10th annual Halloween Masquerade Ball on Oct. 28, and this year they’re letting them eat cake. Toying with a “Marie Antoinette” theme, expect loads of giveaways featuring Kirsten Dunst’s mug. This year’s fete is at the Ruby in Hollywood....
So I’ve been hanging on the Westside with Rosenkrantz and Gildenstern, a.k.a. two scenesters who make the rounds, if you know what I mean.
Veteran Santa Monica scenester and lawyer Bret Graham says there’s no better spot for a martini and conversation than Wilshire, a hotspot next to Holly’s West on Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica. And his road dog, veteran Venice scenester Nelson Hower, resides at Venice on the Beach, a beachside hotel that used to be James Dean’s favorite hang when it was the Heartbreak Hotel. Hower swears that cocktail slinger John Henry at James’ Beach in Venice is a master mixer when it comes to creating the perfect blended cocktail.
And check out Hinano, a Venice lounge that features a sound guy named Ken who performs on Saturdays. Expect a rad cover of Dishwalla’s “God.”
