Wal-Mart Plans to Help Workers Register to Vote

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said it would help its 1.3 million workers register to vote while expanding a program to assist employees in countering criticism of the company.
The company said it would give employees stamped voter-registration forms along with information from the League of Women Voters.
“On a completely separate track, we have a goal of educating our associates whenever politicians say anything about our company,” said Lee Culpepper, the company’s chief Washington lobbyist.
