Roseanne Barr is stirring passions

I think the Barr-babe should be nominated for president of the United States [“It’s Not Just Lip Service,” March 18].

In particular; I support the Barr bard’s recommendation that if there is to be a minimum wage, it is only logical that there should be a maximum wage. To have one without the other is not only illogical, but asymmetrical. How un-L.A. and un-American is that?

I am also in agreement with her views on socialization and our existing pimp culture: What is with this me-too culture? We look askew at principles, while stalking celebrities? It baffles the mind. The spirit. And dominates our local and national media coverage.

HOW incredibly wonderful of Roseanne to do her part to bring our standards to where they are today.

Taking that hard stand on $100 million as the top figure one can earn is courageous. Go Girl! She went. And she is the same vulgar, awful, intellectually thin woman she ever was. As she has her beluga and vodka, let her revel in her giving. Fine. Give. But those very same people whose plight she decries are suffering from her existence at the top of a food chain. We all know what floats.
