More food relief for flood victims

Starving flood victims battled one another for scarce food supplies in India, even as the air force stepped up relief efforts.
Helicopters dropped more than 4,300 food packets to desperate residents in Bihar, the worst-hit state in India, said Manoj Shrivastav, state disaster management secretary. Residents fought over the packets, officials said.
More than 360 people have died in recent flooding in India and Bangladesh in annual monsoon rains, including at least 15 killed when their boat sank.
