Life After Prostate Surgery

Share

I am surprised that inflatable penal implants were not mentioned in the article on prostate surgery (“Rxxx,” by Paul Lieberman, July 29). Four years ago my prostate was removed. The surgeon also removed the surrounding nerves, meaning normal erections were impossible. After struggling for a year with injections, I asked my doctor about an implant. It was a minor operation requiring only one night in the hospital. It is undetectable by others, and I’m good to go on a moment’s notice.
