Spam trickery

Re “Spam, spam, spam, spam, and poetry,” Opinion, Dec. 13

I never thought about the artistic potential of spam subject lines. What always came to my mind was why people would send credit card information or money to someone who used trickery to get them to read the e-mail in the first place.
