Bodies retrieved after mudslides

Crying relatives watched in horror as rescuers pulled more muddy corpses from Indonesian villages devastated by landslides and floods. At least 87 people were killed or feared dead, and tens of thousands were forced from their homes.
Authorities were struggling to get backhoes and tractors past blocked roads on Java island. Hundreds of police, soldiers and residents were digging through the debris with their bare hands, shovels and hoes.
