Smith’s mom tries to block burial

Anna Nicole Smith’s estranged mother filed an emergency request in a Fort Lauderdale court to block the former Playboy centerfold’s burial in the Bahamas.
Virgie Arthur filed the request with Judge Larry Seidlin, who a day earlier ruled that the attorney for Smith’s daughter would decide where the model could be buried. Arthur had sought to bury Smith in her native Texas. Seidlin did not indicate when he might rule.
