More study needed in history, strategy
Re “Surge -- the ‘decent interval’ redux,” Opinion, Jan. 12
Rosa Brooks sorely needs to take a course in logic. Her first assumption, based on no evidence other than her own opinion, is that President Bush is a liar.
Therefore, because she believes Iraq can’t be won, Bush must also think so, and even though he’s not running for reelection as Richard Nixon was [during the Vietnam War], Bush is now taking steps to somehow help the GOP.
I would recommend additional study for Brooks in history and military strategies and tactics.
But she can rest easy in the knowledge that she’s the perfect exemplar of liberal thinking, which long ago substituted emotion for reason.
