Maoist ex-rebels take oaths of office

Former communist rebels joined Nepal’s interim parliament, stepping into mainstream politics for the first time after a decade of deadly insurgency.
Eighty-three Maoists joined the 330-seat interim Legislature, taking oaths of office in a ceremony that was broadcast live on national television.
