Freshman Chase Budinger had 21 points and 10 rebounds, and No. 17 Arizona ended a three-game losing streak with a 71-47 victory over Arizona State on Wednesday night.

Arizona, 14-5 overall and 5-4 in the Pacific 10 Conference, was without leading scorer Marcus Williams, who was suspended for an undisclosed violation of team rules. Freshman Jordan Hill replaced him and scored a career-high 12 points, making five of seven shots, and grabbed nine rebounds.

Christian Polk scored 11 points for Arizona State (6-14, 0-9), which has dropped 10 straight, the Sun Devils’ longest skid since they lost the final 11 games in 1996-97.
