Reprise! Broadway’s Best presents “Sunday in the Park With George,” the 1984 Pulitzer Prize-winning Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical based on the life of 19th century French artist Georges Seurat and his struggle to reconcile the perfect imaginary world of his painting with the imperfect messy world of real life. Intimately linked to Seurat’s signature pointillist painting, “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte,” the musical merges past and present, as the artist’s great-grandson wrestles with his own emotional and artistic demons. Jason Alexander directs. The cast features Manoel Felciano, Kelli O’Hara and Nancy Dussault.
