Re “Moms say part-time work best,” July 12

We have not come a long way, baby. Moms, who all are women, still carry most of the responsibility of childrearing while trying to stay afloat in a skyrocketing economy. Raising children is a full-time job, yet our society dismisses this fact because, traditionally, women’s work is not important. Moms prefer part-time jobs because they are exhausted from working two full-time jobs. I will know equality between the sexes has been reached when I read a newspaper article with the headline: “Men prefer to work part-time.”
