From Times Wire Reports

Australia’s top prosecutor dropped a terrorism charge today against an Indian doctor accused of supporting last month’s failed bomb attacks in London and Glasgow, Scotland, saying conviction was unlikely.

Mohammed Haneef, 27, remained in custody and it wasn’t clear whether he would be released or deported.

Haneef was charged with supporting a terrorist organization because he gave his cellphone SIM card to a second cousin, Sabeel Ahmed, who has been charged in Britain with withholding information that could prevent an act of terrorism.
