Second quest for organs a success
From Times Wire Reports
A transplant patient whose donor lungs were in a plane that crashed into Lake Michigan has received a set of organs, doctors said in Ann Arbor.
The 50-year-old man, whose name was withheld at his family’s request, was in critical condition at a University of Michigan Health System hospital after Thursday’s operation.
On Monday he had been prepped for surgery, his chest cut open, when the crash killed six Survival Flight team members.
