Memorial is scheduled for Donnie Brooks

A memorial has been scheduled for Donnie Brooks, a Burbank singer whose best-known hit was the 1960 love song “Mission Bell.” The event, partly billed as a concert and roast in memory of Brooks, will begin at 2 p.m. March 25 at the Burbank Elks Lodge, 2232 N. Hollywood Way. Brooks died Feb. 23 of congestive heart failure.
