A matter for Pakistani court

Re “With friends like this ... ,” editorial, March 20
The allegations in the editorial without full knowledge of the facts are regrettable. The factual position is that Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has made a reference to the Supreme Judicial Council, an apex body provided for in the constitution of Pakistan itself.
The constitution provides this course of action to the head of state if necessary, to make a reference against a judge to the Supreme Judicial Council comprising the senior-most judges in the country.
As the matter is under consideration of the Supreme Judicial Council, therefore, it would be fair to wait for the decision of the council before jumping at the conclusions.
