Putting the buzz in perspective

YOUR article on Colony Collapse Disorder [“A Few Hives Short of a Meltdown,” May 16] really gave me a “buzz.”

Finally, a sensible discussion of the “bee crisis” instead of the usual media attempt to fan the flames of hysteria.

The fact is that whatever the cause of the “disappearance” of large numbers of bees, some bees will have an immunity to it, and those bees will reproduce and rebuild the number of bees until the next pathogen comes along.
