GM hybrid move doesn’t serve U.S.

Share

The U.S. is arguably the most inventive and creative nation on this planet, yet the ship of fools in the executive wing at General Motors Corp. has decided to set up a research center to develop hybrid technology in Shanghai -- not Detroit, not Van Nuys or anywhere else in America. (“What’s good for GM may be developed in China,” Oct. 30.)

Since when did we have a shortage of engineers and scientists to explore hybrids and other alternatives? This is just another shocking and sad example of corporate America’s sacking of our own workforce and its total lack of patriotism.
