Bombing suspect is killed in raid

Philippine police killed a suspected Muslim militant and two other people in a raid linked to a deadly explosion outside the country’s Congress.
The blast Tuesday killed a Muslim lawmaker, Rep. Wahab Akbar, and three other people. Police said they thought it was an attack on Akbar because he backed military attacks against militants.
The three were killed in Quezon City, police said, and three men with them were detained.
