2 officers slain by gunmen at morgue
From Times Wire Reports
Two police officers were killed by 20 heavily armed men who stormed a morgue in Ensenada, Mexico, to snatch the body of a drug trafficker, police said.
The dead man was thought to be a member of the Arellano Felix drug cartel. Fellow traffickers apparently wanted to take his body for burial without having to identify themselves.
He died this week in a helicopter crash along with another suspected trafficker, whose body the gunmen failed to get.
