AN ICY RECEPTION

Share

Usually I am amused by the “Underrated/Overrated” column. But I was offended by the inclusion of the downtown L.A. ice rink in “Overrated” in The Guide (Nov. 15).

Could you possibly be unaware that, for many inner-city children, the Pershing Square Ice Rink is the only ice rink they will ever see? For lots of kids in this city, the phrase “make the trek to El Segundo’s Toyota Sports Center” is meaningless.

Shame on you.
