Sweeps needed

Re “Massive sweep deports hundreds,” Oct. 3

Any time criminals are taken off the streets, it is a win for law-abiding citizens. That these arrests and deportations are being carried out across the nation proves that finally we are getting serious about undocumented people in our country. As 9/11 proved, we were lax in all areas of security, and our borders were a joke. We need more, constant sweeps like these, and focusing more on criminals and gangs. Our adversary is not in Iraq, it is in every city in this country.
